I am consistent on being inactive blogger but for today I feel like I want to give a glimpse of my life lately. Of course, I know not everyone is interested about what’s going on in my life but a part of me wants to share this on my blog as it helps me realize how I progress as the months went by and 2018 is about to end.


  • I only go out with selected circle of friends whom I consider as my constants unlike for the past years. I don’t have energy and interest anymore on spending time with temporary people.
  • My baby Blair got hospitalized again but she’s now doing fine and on her 5th year. Yaaay! Praying for more years with her *cross fingers*
  • Learning how to bake but not as often as I intend to as I don’t have enough time (excuses *roll eyes*).
  • Got on few trips involving hiking and swimming. So far the most memorable for me is our Batad trip!
  • Idk why but I enjoy browsing in Pinterest and pinning wedding, diy, fitness and bujo stuff.
  • I was doing great with my Kuripot Pinay Challenge (50s) but then there are unexpected events that needed my financial assistance and Ber months came so I used it as my emergency money but, as I promised myself, I will return the amount of money used when I receive my bonus by December.
  • I am no longer an Apple user. Hehe! I switched to Huawei (P20 Lite) last August and I’ve never been this contented! I consider this as a smart purchase.
  • Still trying to lose weight and finding motivation to continue on my fitness journey even though I am slacking for months now.
  • Braces free already after n years!! Dentist appointments makes me anxious but I’ve made it! HAHAHAHA!
  • Work is stressful but I am so grateful for my support system and to my immediate supervisor for all the help.
  • Crossed out some of the items in my bucket list and I cannot wait to cross out more!
  • I fail to update my bujo on a timely manner but whenever I have free time I catch-up and turn on my creativity.
  • Attending Christian Sunday service for a few times already. Not consecutive, only whenever I can, but it is still a progress.
  • I know own those cards with redeemable points: SM Advantage, Watsons, Starbucks and even apps like GCash and Snapcart.
  • For the past months I am already asleep before 10pm. Not sure if this is because of stress or I am really getting old. Lols!
  • Speaking of bed time, I now sleep alone which is a small victory for me. I used to sleep beside my mom for a couple of years already because I am afraid that I will experience sleep paralysis again. For the record, I sleep normal and I am at ease. Thank God!
  • Trying to live a zero-waste kind of life. I struggle as I fail time to time but I remind myself that it is okay and it should not be rushed. Discipline is the key.

MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP [UPDATED]

It’s been more than 3 years since the last time I shared my everyday makeup (old post here) and even though I have different set of products already I am still using drugstore makeups (Crazy poor asian here. lol). It is just recently when I started switching to cruelty-free products (Hence the BYS and The Body Shop products above) and I can’t wait to update my makeup kit.. Again.

THE SUNDAY CURRENTLY VOL 28: WORSHIP SONGS, MOTIVATION AND SUNSET

It’s a Sunday evening and I’m at home and kinda bored that is why I’m blogging this entry (while sipping my mocha frappe. lol). But if I must be honest, well, I should be working out actually but I got lazy once again and decided to open my laptop instead.

C U R R E N T L Y

  • READING tutorial about Lightroom and the presets available. lol I am too late for this one, I know. Like what I have said, I am bored and suddenly got curious about this app. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll probably notice that I no longer post on my feed so often (aside from stories), it is because I kind of lost interest and my editing skills sucks so bad lately.
  • WRITING this blog entry and texting someone while I’m out here at our terrace where Blair is hanging out as well. Perfect spot for blogging and killing time.
  • LISTENING to Top Praise & Worship song on Spotify. This is something I’ll blog about anytime soon, but for a hint, I’ve been attending a church service more than 4 Sundays already.
  • THINKING  how I’ll survive this work week aside from the looking forward to Friday as it is our payday. HAHAHAHA! And make the days productive as well even after work (Should I workout, bake, blog, make doctor/dentist appointment, meet a friend, clean our room aka declutter challenge, etc).
  • SMELLING Blair because she just got groomed and bathed earlier before she had her anti-barbies vaccine for free. Hihi! My furry baby is fluffier than ever but as much as I wanna hug her tight, she became 10x moodier and snobbish as she grew older. Huhuhu! :(
  • WISHING I could extend this day as I am not prepared for tomorrow’s work yet but I bought a new bag earlier while I’m at Daiso and I’m excited to use it tomorrow so I’m kinda torn. HAHAHAHAHA!!
  • HOPING that whatever we’re anxious about, whatever the things we worry, whatever the problems we keep to ourselves, whatever the emotions we conceal and whatever burdens us all will soon disappear as He bless us and guide us every waking day. We just have to trust Him.
  • WEARING a slip on dress. I just love wearing this type at home as I am to lazy to wear terno or pjs most of the times. 
  • LOVING sunset more than ever, the worship songs I am listening to, having Blair beside me while I am doing this entry, the fact the I am home at this hour, being able to sleep alone again after how many years because of sleep paralysis (Been sleeping beside my mom since then. lol), getting more than 6 hours of sleep for the past week, how touched my twin is when I surprised her with BTS poster earlier. Hahahaha!
  • WANTING to go for a vacation for few days to disconnect and do R&R. I feel so tired because of work for the past couple of months already and I no longer deny that I am stressed whenever a co-worker asks me if I am okay. Even though I just went to Laiya during the first week of this month, I know I deserve more escapades.
  • NEEDING my motivation back when it comes to losing weight, confidence at work and wisdom to overcome every setbacks and issues, calm thoughts every morning I wake up, positive attitude despite being surrounded by toxic people, physical strength as I feel weird things on my body lately (Scared to consult with Dr. Google. lol) , money money money (TBH. This will resolve some of my problems in lyf. Hahahaha!), tight hug from the one I call my home and clearer skin (As always. HAHAHAHAHA!).
  • FEELING sleepy already but I still have to prepare my things for tomorrow’s work and do my night skin care routine (I suddenly remembered that I have to apply clay mask pa pala. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Hayssss. lol). 
  • CLICKING my phone if I have new text messages or any notification.

MY FACE ESSENTIALS [UPDATED]

When in comes to skin care routine, I think I change often (quarterly, i think) the products I use as either I am not satisfied (admitting this one already compare to my previous entry. lol) or get easily attracted to hyped products. Early this year, the products I used for my face are as follows:

  1. Makeup Remover - Aloe Vera Cleansing Gel (Nature Republic), Bare Necessity Cleansing Balm (Human Nature)
  2. Facial Wash - Egg White Foam (Skin Food)
  3. Toner - Witch Hazel (Thayers)
  4. Moisturizer - Aloe Vera Gel (Nature Republic)
  5. Scrub - Purifying Facial Scrub (Human Nature)

I didn’t breakout but, I guess, I did not see any difference in my face even though there are good reviews in the above products especially with the toner and, also, as I emptied them already so I changed and switched to the products in the picture above.


CLEANSE

1. Cosrx’s Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser - I admit I ordered this on BeautyMNL as I was curious because this is one of the hyped products! Haha. Anyway, I use this every morning whenever I wash my face.
2. Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water - The best makeup remover for me!
3. Biore’s Facial Foam - This is a facial wash + makeup remover I use at night whenever I wear makeup.

TONE

4. Skin Genie’s Apple Cider Vinegar Toner - Even though Thayers’ is a good product, I decided to switch to this toner as support as well to local brands. So far so good even though at first it stings.

MOISTURIZE

5. Sooper Beaute’s Baby Skin Snail Serum - I started using this when I decided to improve my skin care routine. At times this made my skin glow but some days I breakout. Lol.

6. St. Ives’ Collagen Elastin Moisturizer - This smells so good and doesn’t make my face oily! I still use my Aloe Vera Gel though during Sundays.

7. Quick Fx’s Eyelift Cream - Trying to get rid of my eye bags and dark circles so I apply this day and night.

EXFOLIATE (Not in picture as I forgot to include, sorry)

8. Himalaya Herbals’ Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub - I scrub my face only every Sunday night as I am afraid my warts will spread more all over my face.

9. Aztec Secret’s Indian Healing Clay - I apply this mask every Wednesday and Saturday whenever I workout just because it makes me feel even cleaner.


For my lazy days, I just cleanse and that’s it. Hahaha!

So that’s everything and I hope these products will stick around on my skin care routine unless I changed my mind once again. Hahaha! I wish to visit a derma clinic monthly to have a facial but I am just not up with the pain of pricking. Lol.

FITNESS FRIDAY #2

To be really honest, my motivation and discipline were dying as our Biggest Loser Challenge comes to an end. During the past 2 weigh in, I gained pounds again and again and it made me frustrated even more. I skipped my 1200 diet and after office workout and decided not to care anymore but then one night when I was changing clothes, I saw my body and I realized I don’t want to be chubby or ‘butete’ (lol) forever. I want to get fit and be healthy for the rest of the days – even after our challenge at work.

As a comeback (HAHAHA), I fought with my best efforts the laziness I feel during last weekend and grabbed the opportunity to workout outdoors. I searched at Pinterest some easy pool workout and decided to do it during our getaway in Laiya. Other people around me didn’t bothered me at all as I am focusing on my goal, to finish my workout on time and before the pool gets crowded.

The photo above is after I tried to the fastest flutter kicks that I could. HAHAHAHA! My legs hurt 2 days after, btw. I have a video on phone while I’m doing the scissors but I’m to shy to upload it.


Anyway, I’m back on track when it comes to exercising. I do 30 minute HIIT exercise at home on TTH after work aside from my usual zumba session every Wednesay as I am preparing for our last weigh in on the 24th of this month. Wish me luck!
