• #JesTheOneForEric Part 1: Done!

Surprise! Surprise!! I got married last August 21!!! Actually, I haven’t posted yet in my personal account our wedding photos and even change my relationship status and surname but it doesn’t matter. So this is how our wedding went:

    image

Less than a week of planning because lockdown announcements and restrictions were uncertain during those days (Our agreed date is Aug 7 then moved to 30 but then Laguna was put under MECQ so religious gatherings are not allowed until 31). We came up instead with a new plan wherein we change location and venue where intimate gathering will be allowed. From 55 guests, we’re down to 18 (1 officiant, 3 witnesses, 5 immediate fam from bride’s side, 7 immediate fam from groom’s side, bride & groom). Simple ceremony, no entourage, no reception but with take out snacks and only 1 supplier on the day (Photographer). We started around 3:00pm and finished before 5:30pm.Thankful that we did not encounter any disaster (Chill bride here!) and looking forward on 2nd wedding (With friends and relatives and reception).

Testimony: Originally August 21 was our chosen wedding date because it is our anniversary, however, my dream venue was already booked so we gave up the date then settled with Aug 7. After rescheduling from Aug 7 to Aug 30, God fulfilled our Aug 21 wedding date! God is faithful, just trust in Him.

  • LIFE LATELY

    image

Hi, how’s everyone? I have been inactive for months and I missed sharing my time and life with you.  Pandemic is still not over (And far from over if you are living in the Philippines *roll eyes*) but we must not let it control our lives especially our future so here I am sharing the events in my life since the start of this year:

  • 20s vs 30s

Since I have a break from work and I’m about to turn 32 this month, why not share some things I have observed with myself and learned the moment I reached 30s. I might not be able to include everything but I will try, I promise:

    1. Fashion

During my teenage years and 20′s, I love to follow the trend but lately I don’t care anymore. Comfortable and something I can wear on repeat, for a long time and on any occasions are my new criteria. My go to is Uniqlo (Insert Tita Jokes. Lol) as I am into plain shirts and loose pants (anything that isn’t hugging my legs that much) especially when I go out for errands.

In fact, I decluttered my closet and get rid of a lot of clothes that doesn’t serve me well anymore.

    2. Spending/Money Matter

I used to spend my money more on makeup, clothes, food (including eating out), shoes, bags, IG filter apps and non-sense stuff (for the gram. lol) but since my interest shifted and I have more responsibilities already, my usual expenses are for groceries, vitamins, paying bills (association dues, house, insurance, electricity, telephone/internet) and savings,

Sure I still have money for online shopping and leisure but expenses during adulthood will leave you looking for extra income.

    3. Sleeping Pattern

Staying awake until 7 in the morning is something I do for fun before (Either chatting with someone, out drinking with friends or workmates or simply browsing the net) and what is funny now is that at around 7pm, I am yawning all the time already and knocked out by 9pm onwards. HAHAHAHAHA! I even sneak napping during lunch break at work. That is how tired I am already at this age. Lol.

    4. Social media

Obviously, I am still here in Tumblr and I still have IG, Twitter and FB but less active unlike before. I keep my profile picture updates to Only Me setting, I don’t post or tweet that much, I browse more on FB groups like Home Buddies, WaWies and our municipality’s page. On YouTube, I watch DIYs, minimalism lifestyle, financial advise and fitness.

    5. Relationship

I keep my circle small already, I became very careful in choosing who to know my life details. I realized the difference of acquaintance vs real friends. Though I am too lazy to communicate, please know that we are still friends *grin*

Also at my 30s, I found the one I will marry *heart heart*.

    6. Health

I think I do not need to elaborate on this anymore but, yeah, suddenly there are health concerns like migraine and back pain. Like seriously?

Though there are huge differences in my life already as I welcomed the big 3-0, I am still excited on what’s coming especially I am about to get married and move out of our house (Hopefully before this year ends) to start my own family.

    Enjoy your youth, kiddos! xx

  • VALENTINE’S 2021

    image

My fiancé and I decided to spend Valentine’s Day at our future home as restaurants will be crowded for sure despite of pandemic. We actually had two celebrations: 1st was last Feb 13 (above photos) wherein we just setup our front garden with some of the props he used during proposal and some items we had at home already and capped off the night with green tea while exchanging gifts. I think we just spent around 90php for this night for the box of tea. Hahaha! We no longer bother to have dinner as we were still full. 2nd was on the actual day and we just cooked pancit canton for merienda (photo posted on my IG stories) and chilled again in our garden.

I am excited to have more celebration like this in the future with my husband-to-be even stay at home style! Looking forward to cook for him/us, decor the house and have quality time together.

How was your Valentine’s Day, lovies? :)

PS: We don’t stay/live here yet, we just visit time to time and, of course, we’re not allowed to sleep over also *grin*

I’ve been trying to practice minimalism for a year now and, to be honest, it is not that easy. There are times you would not be able to control yourself buying stuff you do not really need because you are stressed, sad or you believe you deserve these certain things (aka reward system). You may tend to forget to be mindful when buying things or lazy on tidying/organizing stuff or just lost your purpose as our lives became different because of the pandemic.

But since I got engaged last December 2020 and will soon start on planning my wedding and build my own family, I want to have sustainable life and fully transition to become a minimalist. Just remember that minimalism is not only about aesthetics, saving money and owning less, it is mainly simplifying your life and living intentionally and sustainably.

So let me share to you some of the items I plan not to spend money on for this year as they (a) no longer serve my life on purpose (b) eating up my income © are nice-to-haves only.
